Sorry to everyone who went to Leduc this weekend to see us.  Colin has been sick for a few weeks now, and we had to cancel our show due to the fact that he can hardly speak, let alone sing.  I hope it was a great show anyways, and hopefully we can play there soon again.  Sorry Again!

Stereotrap won the Covenant Award for Hard Music Song of the Year this weekend at this year's GMA Covenant Awards in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The other nominees for the award were Haste the Day, and Trinity Drive. Thanks to everyone who has helped make our album and the winning song, Lifegiver such a success.

Hey Stereotrap Fans.....

Recently, our myspace was hacked and it has been deleted.  We hope to fix the problem in the next little while, but in the meantime, check our this page for updates and info.  If we have to start over, the new address will be posted on www.stereotrap.com.  As for the other things going on with the band, We're writing some new stuff, and we're just spending time at home with our families.  Cas is getting married, and we're all really excited for him.  Keep your ears and eyes peeled for new stereotrap material.......Although we have no time frame for releasing anything, we're always writing.  Thanks alot, and keep in touch!!  If you want to book a show, drop us an email, and we could work something out!

Cross-Canada Tour begins February 2007!

Hey everyone,

We are excited to announce that we are partnering with Absolute Leadership Development Inc. (www.myspace.com/absoluteontheweb) and will be heading out on our very first cross-Canada tour!

We are glad that we finally get to go across the country and meet up with our fans! keep checking our myspace or our website for a list of shows, with more being added as the days go on!

We will be looking for weekend bookings, so we will post a list of available weekend dates VERY shortly, so if you'd like to have us play in your city/town, or know someone who could help bring us in, pass on this information to them. Hey Everyone!!

Well it's Wednesday night and we are halfway through the recording process of our new EP out here in Winnipeg.  We're really excited about how things are sounding!  So far we have got through most of the guitars, bass and drums.  Just a few more Vocal tracks left to go and some extra tiddly diddlies.  It's been alot of late nights and many cases of PEPSI (so far approx. 72 cans in 5 days).  We'll have a new track on our Myspace and our Purevolume site very soon, as well as some video and pictures from the studio!

Hey everyone,

Well, it's 20 days and counting until we head off to High North Studios in Winnipeg to record with John Paul Peters (Comeback Kid, Every New Day, The Reception).  We're getting very excited, and we can't wait for you to hear some of the new songs we've been working on as of late!  We'll try to keep you updated as we are recording and let you all know how things are going.

More details on the new EP to come, such as the title and the release date (looks like sometime in September *fingers crossed*)...we'll also be posting many more shows as we finalize things.

Well, here it is everyone. It's been a long time in the making,

Tons of new things are going on in the Stereotrap camp....for all of you that have been waiting forever to get your hands on some new music....we're sorry that it has been so long, BUT!!!! We are very happy to announce that studio time has been booked starting on June 2nd in Winnipeg, We will be working on our new EP with Producer John Paul Peters from High North Studios, it is currently scheduled to be out in Late August/Early September.

More and more tour dates are being added to our calendar, so keep checking back to see when we are going to be in a place near you. Sterotrap is heading for Alberta in a few days for concerts in Edmonton and Slave Lake. See details in the Shows section.

Also coming up in early September is the Great White North Super Tour. stereotrap will make its first appearance in BC, at Abbotsford and Kelowna, then head for Alberta, ending up at Edmonton's HarvestMoon festival. Check out the shows section for info.

stereotrap was The Battlefords Battle of the Bands winner this past weekend, winning for a second straight year. A good time.

In July, stereotrap joined the Saskatchewan Recording Industry Association's (SRIA) Crop Checkin' Tour stop in La Ronge, SK. Heavy rain meant that the concert had to be moved indoors, but that didn't dampen the enthusiasm of the bands and the crowd.

Jesus Manifest in Dauphin, Manitoba featured stereotrap at its late-night concert on July 15. The guys took the long way home, missing a turn on the highway and ending up in Melfort, SK!

For the third year in a row, stereotrap earned a spot in the lineup for the Flatland Music Festival/Taste of Regina held in Victoria Park.

stereotrap's going "Crop Checkin'"

The band has been invited to be part of the Saskatchewan Centennial Crop Checkin' 2005 Tour at its stop in La Ronge.

"Saskatchewan has incredibly talented singers and musicians and we are thrilled that so many of them are joining us to help make centennial celebrations more special for the youth of the province," Saskatchewan Centennial 2005 Chair and Moose Jaw North MLA Glenn Hagel said. "The Centennial Crop Checkin' 2005 tour will showcase Saskatchewan talent and gives young people a great reason to attend a party celebrating Saskatchewan 's first 100 years."

We had a great time in Toronto last weekend and got to meet Mike "Pinball" Clemons, Toronto Argos coach and host of the Shai Awards ceremony. We played "Deserve," one of our new songs, to a great Awards audience. The show was taped for future TV broadcast. As soon as we know when it will be aired, we'll let you know.

Vibe Gospel Music announced today the nominees for the 2005 Shai Awards, recognizing the best in Canadian Christian music.

stereotrap is nominated for Rock/Alternative Album of the Year. The awards will be held in Mississauga, ON on May 14, hosted by CFL Toronto Argonaut coach Michael "Pinball" Clemons and his wife Dianne. For the first time, the gala event will be broadcast by CBC-TV. For more information check out the Shai Awards web site.

Great news. stererotrap has been invited back to HarvestMoon Festival in Edmonton on September 10, 2005.

stereotrap was part of the talent line-up for Telemiracle 29 on March 6 at Saskatoon's Centennial Auditorium. The telethon was broadcast live on TV throughout Saskatchewan. Thanks to everybody who stayed up late and came out to the Auditorium or watched us on TV. Telemiracle was a huge success once again, raising nearly $3.5 million.

On March 4, stereotrap gave a concert in Regina for Western Christian College's youth weekend. The band has been part of the Flatland Music Festival in Victoria Park in 2003 and 2004 but this was their first concert in Regina.

stereotrap had an awsome time at Youth Quake in Caronport, SK on February 25. The band appeared with downhere and Pillar at the Friday night concert. The whole weekend was great. Thanks to everybody who came out to this event.

stereotrap covered a lot of ground last weekend--a concert in Winnipeg with Pillar on Friday night, Feb. 4 and another at MogulMania in North Battleford the next night. Great shows in both places.

Next month, come on out to Telemiracle 29 at the Centennial Auditorium in Saskatoon. stereotrap has a spot on the big stage between 2:00 and 3:00 am on Sunday morning, March 6.

stereotrap's refusing, the title track from their debut CD, won Modern Rock/Alternative Song of the Year at the 2004 Covenant Awards in Toronto on October 16. The band was honoured with an invitation to play at the Awards ceremony and were on hand to accept the award in person. It was an awesome experience and one the band won't soon forget.
